Pale yellow colour. Complex floral nose of white lilac and white rose. Once open, fruity aromas come to the fore, evolving towards grilled hazelnut and almond. When the wine is more mature, the nose is surprisingly strong and fifteen minutes of aeration produce wonderful notes of white truffle, citron (cedrat), honey and nutmeg, elegantly meshed together. Very lively on the palate. Its rich texture is in evidence, but also its structure and minerality. It is round, but never heavy. Harmonious fullness in the aftertaste. On the palate, it is both graceful and powerful, with beautifully refined tannins, vibrant acidity, and a seamless balance between concentrated fruit and lifted aromatics. Layers of red fruit, savory spice, and chalky minerality unfold across an exceptionally long, elegant finish, promising decades of evolution in the cellar. A benchmark Barolo from one of the appellation's greatest crus, this wine embodies the harmony, perfume, and longevity that have made Cannubi legendary.

"This is a phenomenal wine that highlights the hard work and expertise of Chiara Boschis and her brother Giorgio. The E. Pira e Figli - Chiara Boschis 2021 Barolo Cannubi is made with organic Nebbiolo clones of Michet and Lampia planted in a tiny 0.7-hectare plot at 300 meters above sea level on the powdery white limestone soils from the Miocene epoch that characterize this celebrated cru. The wine is refined and delicate with rose hip, violet and pure cherry essence. The aromas are stacked with soaring vertical intensity, and they give this wine an especially bright and lifted bouquet. The mouthfeel outperforms most of its peers thanks to its tight and silky essence and the clean powdery feel of its tannins. The Cannubi is showing very nicely now, but the Mosconi could benefit from more time in bottle. This is a limited release of 4,000 bottles." Wine Advocate 98

Cinque Toscana IGT 2024 is a vibrant and soulful Tuscan red from acclaimed winemaker Giovanna Morganti, whose artisanal approach has made Podere Le Boncie one of Tuscany's cult estates.
