Academie Ostia Tempore Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, USA 2025

Ostia Tempore’s 2025 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is an exciting new Oregon wine with serious Burgundy pedigree behind it. Crafted by Thomas Savre, whose résumé includes Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and Dujac, this is Pinot Noir built around perfume, freshness and pure drinkability rather than weight. Wild strawberry, raspberry, red cherry and violet fill the glass, followed by fresh herbs, subtle earth and spice, while bright acidity and silky tannins keep everything beautifully lifted. From organically farmed Coulee Vineyard and made with native yeast and whole clusters, it has the polish and finesse you want from serious Willamette Pinot without losing its sense of place. A terrific first taste of what this exciting new project is capable of and one I’d happily buy by the case.
