Made by winemaker Sam Kaplan, the wine combines dark, concentrated fruit with the structure and minerality that come from high-elevation sites. Notes of black cherry, cassis, violet, mocha, and subtle herbs unfold with refined tannins and vibrant acidity, leading to a long, elegant finish. Designed to capture the character of Napa’s rugged mountain terrain, the NVD bottling offers both immediate appeal and impressive aging potential, delivering Arkenstone’s signature precision and purity at a more approachable price point than their estate wines. “NVD” stands for Native Vista Domain, referring to the eastern mountain sites that reflect similar, rugged terrain to their estate.
