Agricola Brandini is a relatively modern, family-run winery in La Morra, one of the most celebrated villages in the Barolo region. The estate focuses on organic viticulture, traditional winemaking, and wines that express the character of their individual vineyards rather than the influence of heavy oak. Serena and Giovanna Bagnasco are the sisters associated with running the estate.
Barolo del Comune di La Morra DOCG, Piedmont, Italy 2021
A beautifully refined Barolo from the hills of La Morra, where Nebbiolo is known for its perfume, elegance, and finesse. The outstanding 2021 vintage brings together vibrant red cherry, wild raspberry, rose petals, and delicate spice, with hints of licorice and earthy minerality. On the palate, fresh acidity and finely woven tannins frame the pure fruit, leading to a long, savory finish that balances approachability with classic Barolo structure. Aged for approximately 24 months in large oak casks, Brandini’s traditionally styled Barolo emphasizes purity and terroir rather than heavy oak influence.
