The ancient wine vocation of the territory of Castellina in Chianti and the passion for experimentation of Gabriele Buondonno and Valeria Sodano stood out as the farm’s most peculiar features since its very beginnings. As early as 1989, before specific regulations were even introduced, Casavecchia alla Piazza was already an organic farm: a new idea of agriculture brought into the ancient wine-making heart of Tuscany. Nestled between tree-filled hills striated with vineyards and the typical tiny Chianti villages, Casavecchia alla Piazza provides its guests with country-style apartments, suitable for couples and families alike.

Chianti Classico Reserve is produced only with the most deserving vintages. This wine comes from an accurate selection of the best Sangiovese grapes, usually from the oldest, South-exposed vineyards of Casavecchia and from the Sicellino vineyard, planted in the 1970s with exposure to the North-East; Both of the vineyards are rich in stone, with particularly low yields per hectare.
