“Clos de la Colinette” 2024 is the estate’s flagship Savagnin, and one of the most exciting bottles from Louis Fourrier’s first vintage at the historic Jura property. It comes from a tiny, isolated monopole surrounded by forest, creating a cool microclimate that allowed the grapes to be harvested about two weeks later than the rest of the estate. The vines are 60–70 years old.

The wine is 100% Savagnin, farmed sustainably and hand-harvested. Fourrier fermented it spontaneously in stainless steel with native yeast, then aged it in used French Burgundy barrels, topping the barrels to preserve a fresh, ouillé/non-oxidative style rather than making a traditional oxidative Jura Savagnin.

This is a very rare first-vintage monopole from the new Fourrier project. If you like Burgundy whites, this is particularly interesting: it has the precision and restraint of a Burgundian white, but the saline, smoky, exotic character is unmistakably Savagnin and Jura. The estate itself identifies Clos de la Colinette as one of its two monopoles.
