Dana Estates Vaso Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, USA 2020

The VASO cellars cabernet sauvignon is a blend of four unique estate sites in the Napa Valley, with the Hershey Vineyard atop Howell Mountain providing the backbone of the wine. Thorough rigorous farming practices and a minimally-interventionist approach in the winery, the VASO Cabernet Sauvignon is set apart by its freshness, purity of fruit, energy, balance and the structure to age for a decade or more.

The 2020 shows rich aromas of black currant, blackberry, and plum, complemented by hints of cedar, vanilla, and dark chocolate. On the palate this is full-bodied with robust flavors of ripe dark fruits, accompanied by subtle notes of tobacco and spice. Well-integrated tannins provide structure, while a touch of oak adds depth. The fruit has been sourced from the Lotus Vineyard.
