Bâtard-Montrachet 2022 is a commanding Grand Cru that perfectly balances power, texture, and precision. From this legendary site of clay-limestone soils, it opens with layered aromas of ripe citrus, white peach, and yellow orchard fruit, intertwined with white flowers, brioche, and subtle toasted almond.  On the palate, it is broad and deeply concentrated, delivering a rich, almost creamy core of fruit framed by vibrant acidity and a pronounced mineral spine. There’s a striking interplay between opulence and tension showy and expansive upfront, yet tightening into a long, saline, and finely chiseled finish. 

More powerful and enveloping than Corton-Charlemagne, this is classic Bâtard luxurious, layered, and built for long aging—while still retaining the precision and restraint that define Moreau’s style.

"The 2022 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a taut, delineated bouquet with crushed stone infusing the green apple and yellow plum fruit. Very focused and it gains intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a beautiful line of acidity that slices through the quite concentrated citrus fruit. The oak (two one-year-old barrels) remains politely in the background.
