Domaine Anne Gros Coteaux Bourguignons Vieilles Vignes, Burgundy, France 2024

Coteaux Bourguignons “Vieilles Vignes” 2024 is a terrific old-vine Pinot Noir from Concœur, just above Vosne-Romanée. The vines are around 50 years old, planted on clay-limestone soils, and the wine is made to emphasize pure, crunchy Burgundy fruit.  Expect cherry, wild raspberry, red currant, violet and white pepper, with a silky, fresh palate and fine tannins. It’s an especially gourmand, easy-drinking style of Burgundy, but the old vines give it more depth than a typical regional wine.
