Domaine Antonin Guyon Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, Cote de Nuits, France 2022
The Antonin Guyon estate—one of Burgundy’s most prestigious—extends across some of the most renowned vineyards of the Côte d’Or. Owned by the Guyon family, whose roots in the wine trade stretch back through generations, the estate is a true testament to tradition and excellence. Today, brothers Michel and Dominique Guyon carefully steward the legacy of this remarkable 119-acre domaine, a shining example of a family-run estate at the heart of Burgundy
Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is one of the Grand Cru located in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin. The Domaine Guyon wine area for Charmes Chambertin covers 8.65 hectares (0.21 acre). Hand-harvested, the grapes are then carried in small boxes and sorted out upon arrival at the winery. Long fermentation during 15 days in wooden open vats, with punching down of the cap and temperature control. Ageing in oak barrels (100% new oak) and estate bottling after 18 months.
Very nice ruby robe with morello cherry aroma. This wine is very rich with soft tannins and a lot of finesse. It can be kept for 15 years.
