It’s not every day you hear about a young domaine in Burgundy whose wines have, relatively quickly, reached the acclaim of the area’s most historic producers. Bernard Bonin has been in operation for fewer than 30 years, and their biodynamic wines have achieved elite status alongside those of Coche Dury and Domaine Roulot.

Véronique Bernard and her husband, Nicolas Bonin have developed with a cult-like following for their biodynamic artisinal and terroir-driven wines from sites in Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet, since the domaines founding in 1998.

Meursault “Clos du Cromin” 2023 is a finely etched, highly allocated village Meursault that beautifully balances energy and texture. Situated near the Puligny border, the vineyard lends a natural tension and mineral drive to the wine. The 2023 reveals notes of lemon zest, green pear, white flowers, and crushed stone, with subtle hazelnut complexity. Vibrant acidity and a saline, chalk‑inflected finish give it precision and length, making this a refined and terroir transparent expression of modern Meursault with excellent aging potential.
