Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny 2005 is a beautiful mature Burgundy from one of Chambolle-Musigny’s most revered domaines. 100% Pinot Noir, it comes from a blend of village parcels and young Musigny vines, giving it an unusually strong connection to the domaine’s Grand Cru terroir. The 2005 vintage is showing beautifully now, with layers of ripe red and black raspberry, violet, rose petal, wild mint, spice, earth and subtle wood smoke. The palate is silky and refined but has real concentration, mineral energy and structure.
