Domaine de Triennes Rose, IGP Var, France 2025
Domaine de Triennes is one of Provence’s most fascinating success stories, founded in 1989 by a group of Burgundy legends led by Jacques Seysses of Domaine Dujac, along with Aubert de Villaine and Michel Macaux. Their goal was simple but ambitious: identify a site in southern France capable of producing wines with the same emphasis on terroir, balance, and precision that defines great Burgundy.
The estate is located in the Var, between Aix-en-Provence and the Mediterranean coast, where cooler nights and limestone-rich soils help preserve freshness despite the warm Provençal climate. The name "Triennes" is derived from the ancient Roman triennia, referring to the three-year Bacchic festivals once celebrated in the region.
Rosé 2025 is everything you want in a Provençal rosé, fresh, vibrant, and effortlessly drinkable. Crafted at the renowned Triennes estate in southern France, this pale pink beauty opens with enticing aromas of wild strawberry, watermelon, white peach, and citrus blossom. The palate is crisp and refreshing, delivering juicy red berry fruit, hints of grapefruit, and a touch of Mediterranean herbs, all framed by bright acidity and a clean, mineral-driven finish. Elegant enough for a dinner party yet perfect for a sunny afternoon on the patio, Triennes Rosé consistently overdelivers, making it one of the best values in French rosé year after year.
