Domaine Drouhin Laurene Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills, USA 2022

Named after Véronique Drouhin’s elder daughter, Laurène is our flagship wine, and is produced entirely from Pinot Noir grown on the family’s estate in the Dundee Hills. All of the fruit is handpicked into small totes, destemmed, fermented with indigenous yeasts, and then placed into barrels (French oak, never more than 20% new). Well-suited to pair with poultry, beef, fish, ham, lamb and pork.

In the flush of its youth, Laurène sparkles like a bright ruby. Cherry, mulberry, blackcurrant, and spices all harmonize into a beautifully aromatic bouquet. An overall graceful character is balanced by a firm structure and velvety tannins. Laurène is a shining example of everything we’ve come to know and cherish from our vineyards in the Dundee Hills.

" The medium ruby-colored 2022 Pinot Noir Laurene is more layered and complex, with a cologne consisting of cedar, leather, black cherries, wild raspberries, umami savory notes, and mossy earth. Medium-bodied, it has more structure and slightly broader shoulders, with ripe tannins and evenly balanced, ripe acidity.
