Domaine Follin-Arbelet Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, Cote de Beaune, France 2023

Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2023 is a terrific collector’s white from one of Burgundy’s greatest Grand Cru vineyards. Follin-Arbelet is a small, highly regarded family domaine centered around the Corton hill, and their Corton-Charlemagne is prized for being precise, racé and mineral rather than overly oaky or heavy.

The 2023 has the richness of the vintage but retains impressive tension, showing golden apple, white peach, lemon zest, citrus blossom, almond, honeysuckle and wet stone. The palate is concentrated and silky, with bright acidity and a distinctly chalky, saline mineral finish that gives the wine exceptional length.
