Domaine Fontchêne is one of the rising stars of Provence, located in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in the heart of the Alpilles. Since taking over the family estate in 2013, René Milan has transformed the domaine into one of the region’s most exciting producers by embracing biodynamic farming and focusing on wines that emphasize freshness, precision, and terroir rather than power.

The estate’s philosophy revolves around the belief that great wine begins in the vineyard. The vines are farmed biodynamically using natural preparations, gentle pruning techniques, manual harvesting, and meticulous parcel-by-parcel management. In the cellar, interventions are kept to a minimum to preserve the character of the fruit and the unique limestone-rich soils of the Alpilles.

“Aupiho” Blanc 2023 is a beautifully expressive white from the heart of the Alpilles, capturing the Mediterranean sunshine and limestone soils of southern France in every glass.
