Domaine Genot-Boulanger Meursault Clos du Cromin, Cote de Beaune, France 2020

Domaine Génot-Boulanger stands as a magnificent vineyard, rooted in the heart of the Côte de Beaune in Meursault. Originating from the vision of a family of Parisian pharmacists, their aspiration was to establish an estate in the viticultural heartland of Burgundy, culminating in the inception of Domaine Génot-Boulanger in 1974. Charles-Henri Génot and his wife Marie Boulanger embarked on this vinous journey, starting with the acquisition of their initial vine plot in Mercurey. With the passage of time, the estate has flourished, witnessing the addition of new parcels in esteemed locations such as Meursault "Clos du Cromin," Chassagne-Montrachet, Volnay, Pommard, and Beaune.
"The 2020 Meursault Clos du Cromin has a well-defined nose, quite straightforward, with scents of grilled walnut and touches of almond. Delicate, precise. The palate is quite fresh with orange rind notes on the entry. I appreciate the tension and focus here. There is not immense depth or matière, but there is pleasing freshness and sense of energy on the finish.Worth seeking out." Vinous 92
