Domaine Jean Dauvissat Pere & Fils Chablis Heritage, Burgundy, France 2021 1.5L

Héritage is the old-vine Chablis bottling from Fabien Dauvissat and is one of the wines that really put this domaine on the radar of Chablis collectors. It comes from the estate’s oldest vines, planted around 1950–1960, on the Chapelle Vaupelteigne plateau.

The 2021 vintage is particularly compelling because it was a difficult, low-yield year in Chablis. Dauvissat made only about half a normal crop, but the old vines produced a wine with remarkable concentration and energy. Burgundy-Report described it as mineral, citrus-driven, complex, saline and very attractive.
