Saint-Joseph 2023 is a beautifully classical expression of Northern Rhône Syrah, showcasing the granite driven character of the appellation with precision and depth. It opens with aromas of black cherry, cassis, violet, and cracked pepper, layered with graphite, olive, and crushed stone. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, textured and focused, with fine tannins and a vibrant mineral core that brings both freshness and structure. More approachable than Hermitage but still unmistakably Chave, this is a refined, terroir-driven Syrah that balances dark fruit, savory complexity, and elegance offering immediate appeal with the ability to age gracefully over the next decade.
