"The 2022 Beaune Grèves ler Cru comes from 101-year-old vines, the oldest, that comprise two-thirds of this cuvée. They apparently continue to produce good yields. It has a delineated bouquet with raspberry, wild strawberry, gravel and light orange rind aromas, very nicely focused with the 15% new oak seamlessly integrated. The palate has a cohesive, quite powerful entry. Layers of red and black fruit intermixed with hints of graphite and a dab of black pepper. Good sapidity towards the finish beckons you back for more.
