Elio Grasso’s Gavarini Vigna Chiniera 2022 is a beautifully refined Barolo from one of Monforte d’Alba’s historic sites. More lifted and mineral than the estate’s powerful Casa Maté, it delivers layers of macerated cherry, blood orange, rose petal, lavender, licorice and spice, framed by vibrant acidity and beautifully polished tannins. Elegant, energetic and intensely savory, this is a classic, age-worthy Barolo with remarkable finesse and a long, persistent finish.
