Gian Luca Colombo Langhe Pinot Nero, Piedmont, Italy 2023

Gian Luca Is a well known enologist/consultant for many top quality wineries in the area yet he has a small production of his own labels. One of the first wines with a lot of buzz around it was his Pinot Nero coming from grapes in Novello and Dogliani villages. It is aged in Austrian large oak barrels and unfiltered. A fun international grape made in the Langhe!

From higher-elevation and cooler vineyards, this is the wine from which Gianluca Colombo began his career. Lifted and spicy dark fruit with softer tannins than Nebbiolo, this is an uncommonly elegant Pinot Noir from Piedmont.
