Immortal Estate Slope Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma County, USA 2019
'Slope' Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 is a powerful yet refined mountain Cabernet sourced from the steep, high‑elevation vineyards of Sonoma County. The 2019 vintage reveals intense aromas of blackberry, cassis, and dark plum layered with graphite, cocoa, and subtle mountain herbs. On the palate, it is richly structured with firm, polished tannins supporting concentrated dark fruit and a distinctive mineral edge that reflects the rugged hillside terroir. Crafted by Immortal Estate, this limited production Cabernet balances power with precision, delivering depth, elegance, and excellent aging potential. A compelling, collector‑worthy mountain Cabernet that will continue to evolve beautifully in the cellar.
"Bold and muscular, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Slope comes from the Immortal Estate Vineyard, which sits on the red volcanic soils on the Sonoma side of the Mayacamas mountains. Including 2% Petit Verdot and pouring an opaque black, potent and layered aromas lift from the glass, with menthol, cassis, toasted cedar, and vanilla. Fleshy and very full-bodied, its velvety sweet tannins and plummy fruit coat the palate, with fresh acidity and a long, toasty finish. A seductive wine, it will take time to lose some of its baby fat and reveal its more savory complexity." Jeb Dunnuck 95
