Louis Jadot Les Noirots, Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru, France 2013

Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Noirots 2013 is a lovely example of the finesse and perfume that define Chambolle-Musigny, with the added depth of a Premier Cru. It’s 100% Pinot Noir, showing fresh red and dark fruit, violet, spice, mineral notes and a silky, beautifully textured palate. Burgundy-Report described the 2013 as fresh, harmonious, long and notably mineral, with lovely complexity.

The 2013 vintage was challenging but produced wines with excellent freshness, structure and aging potential when made well. At this point, a properly stored bottle should be entering a very attractive mature phase, with the fruit beginning to evolve toward earth, forest floor and savory spice.
