Massaya 'El Massaya' Arak is a premium Lebanese anise-flavored spirit made by the Massaya winery in the Beqaa Valley. It is triple-distilled from indigenous Obeidi grapes and organic green aniseed, then aged for two years in clay amphorae, resulting in a smooth, high-quality arak with a subtle licorice flavor. It is traditionally served as an aperitif with cold water and ice, which turns the spirit cloudy.
Traditional:
Mix with two parts cold water and ice. As the ice melts, the spirit will turn from clear to an opaque, cloudy white.
