“Les Chétillons” 2016 A singular Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs from the revered Mesnil-sur-Oger slope, crafted from 100% Chardonnay. Deep chalky minerality drives precise layers of lemon zest, green apple, and white flowers, supported by a fine, persistent mousse and vibrant acidity. The 2016 vintage adds structure and tension, delivering a long, saline, and highly focused finish an elegant, site transparent expression of one of the Cote des Blancs’ most iconic vineyards.
"The 2016 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Les Chétillons No. 16 Le Mesnil-sur-Oger Grand Cru was picked from 45-year-old vines in the eponymous parcel. Base wines were fermented in oak and stainless steel, roughly half and half. The wine spent just under seven years on lees. Subtle chalkiness spreads its freshness on the nose, assisted by lemon breeziness. Creamy mousse foams gently but persistently through a beautifully luminous dimension of chalk, referencing butter and lemon throughout-expansive, fresh, aromatic and encompassing. A gorgeous wine. Dosage is 2.5 grams per liter. Disgorged: June 2024." Vinous 96
