This is a very special large-format Saar Riesling, and the 2025 is particularly noteworthy as Florian Lauer’s final vintage as the estate’s active winemaker. The wine comes from the Ayler Kupp VDP.Grosse Lage, with the classic Lauer combination of delicate sweetness, brilliant acidity, and slate-driven minerality. Lauer describes the 2025 as a classic feinfruchtig Saar Kabinett with just 7–8% ABV, open herbal and berry aromatics, and remarkable freshness. The 3L format is exceptionally rare, large-format Lauer bottlings have been offered only very selectively, making this an especially compelling collector's bottle.
