Crafted by acclaimed winemaker Sean O’Callaghan, it is 100% Sangiovese sourced from the estate’s best parcels, fermented traditionally with long maceration and aged primarily in cement and stainless steel with a small touch of oak. The excellent 2020 vintage delivers vivid cherry, raspberry, rose petal, orange peel, spice, and crushed stone with silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and exceptional energy. "Made with 100% Sangiovese, the Tenuta di Carleone 2020 Uno (in an elegant bottle with a white wax capsule) shows a spicy side with macerated aromas of cherry skin and dried fruit. Long skin contact and partial whole cluster are key to winemaking. Like the other wines in this portfolio, Uno (the "one" refers to the singularity of Sangiovese) is a wine of special character.
