Vietti Barbaresco Roncaglie Masseria, Barbaresco DOCG, Italy 2020

Vietti’s Roncaglie Masseria 2020 is a gorgeous single-vineyard Barbaresco and a terrific example of how elegant and compelling Nebbiolo can be outside of Barolo. From the highly regarded Roncaglie MGA in Barbaresco, this 100% Nebbiolo is beautifully perfumed and layered, offering ripe cherry, raspberry, strawberry and redcurrant alongside rose petals, orange peel, mint, crushed stone and subtle spice. The palate is fresh and finely structured, with silky tannins, vibrant acidity and tremendous mineral length. Aged for approximately 30 months in large oak and produced in only about 6,100 bottles, this is classic, refined Piedmontese Nebbiolo with serious cellar potential.
