Vietti 'Boscogrosso' Timorasso - Derthona Colli Tortonesi, Piedmont, Italy 2024
Vietti’s Boscogrosso 2024 is one of the most exciting white wines in Piedmont and a must-have for anyone who loves serious, age-worthy whites. This is Vietti’s first single-vineyard Timorasso, from a tiny two-hectare parcel planted high in the Colli Tortonesi. Rich and mineral at the same time, it delivers layers of ripe pear, citrus, white flowers, honey and crushed stone, with the distinctive saline, almost petrol-like complexity that makes great Timorasso so unique. Vietti gives it an extraordinary 16 months of élevage in ceramic, wood and steel, followed by another year in bottle, resulting in a wine that is broad, deeply textured and remarkably persistent. Think white Burgundy meets Piedmont, but with a personality all its own.
