Vietti’s Lazzarito 2021 is a spectacular Serralunga Barolo and one of the estate’s great single-vineyard expressions. From the prestigious Lazzarito MGA, this 100% Nebbiolo is deep, powerful and beautifully refined, showing layers of red and black cherry, raspberry, rose petal, orange peel, wild mint, sage, white pepper and iron. The palate has tremendous depth and energy, with bright acidity, a pronounced mineral backbone and the firm, beautifully defined tannins that make Serralunga so distinctive. Aged for approximately 30 months in large oak, this is classic Barolo with both the concentration and structure to evolve beautifully for decades.
