‘Tête du Clos’ Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru, Burgundy 2024

A remarkable, small-production Premier Cru Chardonnay from Vincent Dancer, one of the Côte de Beaune’s most compelling domaines. Tête du Clos occupies a distinctive, stony parcel high on the Morgeot slope, where old vines and clay-limestone soils produce a wine of exceptional tension and mineral precision. The 2024 opens with ripe pear, white peach and apricot, layered with lemon zest, fresh anise and elegant floral notes. Beneath the generous fruit lies a firm, crystalline structure, with vibrant acidity and a long, saline finish. Organic farming and restrained winemaking allow the vineyard’s character to shine through. Vincent Dancer has farmed organically since 2012, and his wines are prized for their purity, energy and understated use of oak. His son Théo has now taken the lead at the estate, continuing its focus on precise, terroir-driven Burgundy.
